Areas We Serve

Alpha Beautillion

Entering its 14th year, the Beta Tau Lambda Alpha Beautillion recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding young men in the Tarrant County Community in a black tie rites of passage event.  Championed by the Beta Tau Lambda Charitable Foundation, tens of thousands of dollars have been awarded to graduating high school seniors in furtherance of their continued education.  The Beta Tau Lambda Alpha Beautillion serves as a capstone to the chapter’s Alpha Academy mentorship program.

Fore the Jewels

Established in 2017, the Fore the Jewels Golf Tournament is the largest fund raising mechanism for the Beta Tau Lambda Charitable Foundation.  Dollars raised by this event have helped to support scholarship and programming efforts for Alpha Academy and the Alpha Beautillion event.  This event is well attended by the Tarrant County Greek Community, and in 2017 welcomed Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. General President Ward.  Held at Top Golf, this non-traditional golf tournament combines food, music and entertainment in a relaxed environment.

Alpha Academy

Alpha Academy is a male mentorship program designed for students in the 5th thru 12th grade, who reside in the Greater Fort Worth community.  This program is supported by the Beta Tau Lambda Chapter and Beta Tau lambda Charitable Foundation.  The program encompasses both the Go-To-High-School, Go-to-College and Project Alpha initiatives of the national fraternity.  In addition the program is based on 7 principles or stone: Leadership, Brotherhood, Knowledge, Financial Stewardship, Service, Technology and Career Exploration.

March of Dimes

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. began implementing Project Alpha in 1980, in collaboration with The March of Dimes. Designed to provide young men with current and accurate information about teen pregnancy prevention, Project Alpha consists of a series of workshops and informational sessions conducted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity brothers. The Beta Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., is committed to implementing this important program in the Fort Worth Community, which many of the chapter brothers live and work, through a partnership with the local March of Dimes organization to bring awareness to issues that impact the health of mothers and babies right here in our community.
